Open Standards for Operations & Maintenance End-user demand drives the acceptance of MIMOSA & OPC
|
|
By combining the open standard for real-time communication (OPC) and the standard for maintenance management information exchange (MIMOSA), end-users can freely pick the right tool for the right job without having to worry about interfaces and integration problems, all the way from the equipment’s instrument sensors to the CMMS/EAM system. This has prompted both organizations to combine forces in the OpenO&M initiative. The OpenO&M initiative promotes the acceptance and adoption of both standards and works collaboratively to provide a harmonized set of standards for the exchange of Operations and Maintenance data. |
