Boise Cascade views condition-based maintenance as one promising approach for extending the useful life of their plants. Traditional condition-based maintenance is a labor intensive process involving manual data collection and analysis. Control performance monitoring, however, belongs to a growing class of condition monitoring techniques that are fully automated and have the potential to reduce the demands on the maintenance work force while simultaneously improving equipment performance and reliability.
