Detection and Diagnosis of System Non-Linearities Using Higher Order Statistics
|
|
This paper is concerned with the statistical analysis of closed loop data for diagnosing the cause of poor control loop performance. Specifically, higher order statistical tools such as cumulants and their frequency domain counterparts are used to detect and quantify the non-Gaussianity and nonlinearity of regulated process or control error variables. Bicoherence gives a measure of the skewness of the regulated error. |
