SUNCOR Energy is a leader in the Alberta Oil Sands Industry, with their Fort McMurray oil sands facility producing approximately 270 bbl of crude oil daily. The CAIMS (Controllers, Alarms and Critical Instruments Management) project was initiated to reduce their alarm load and manage all of their 1600+ controllers and critical instruments in the extraction area of their Fort McMurray facility.
