Matrikon also announces that the Management Cease Trade Order ("MCTO") previously announced on March 30, 2009 has been granted by the Alberta Securities Commission. Matrikon made the voluntary application for the MCTO when management realized that they would not be able to file the Q2 interim financial statements and other filings prior to the April 14, 2009 deadline. A new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system started at the commencement of the second quarter on December 1, 2008. The ERP includes the systems for recording transactions and forms the basis of Matrikon's financial statement preparation. Due to delays during the transition process, additional time was required to confirm the accuracy of the information and to complete the interim financial statements. The MCTO will be in place until April 22, 2009, two full business days after results are released on April 18, 2009.
