2010 was a historic year for Matrikon.
On June 28, Matrikon announced that it
had been acquired by Honeywell International Inc. and has since started integrating into the Honeywell
Process Solutions (HPS) business. We believe this acquisition will enable Matrikon to
fully realize the vision we embarked on two years ago as we focused on delivering
the next generation technology for our clients. The joint focus remains the same—to
enable our clients to anticipate both opportunities and challenges they face,
provide the framework for global collaboration, and ensure that action is taken
and sustained to harness the opportunities and resolve the challenges before they occur.
MatrikonOPC will continue to operate as a separate business entity
within Honeywell Process Solutions and will continue to deliver
vendor neutral OPC products and exceptional customer support.
Our Technology
One of the key goals of any integration is to look at overlapping
technologies and determine what makes sense for our combined clients
moving forward. Fortunately, both companies have embarked on developing
the next generation technology and as such, we remain committed to
supporting clients who have our existing technology portfolio. The
next generation technology will allow us to create products and solutions
that will significantly enhance the value we bring to you, as you focus on
remaining leaders in your respective businesses.
Our Solutions
Over the past few years, we have developed world class industry specific solutions.
As we move forward, Matrikon and Honeywell are focused on and will continue to
invest in these solutions such as Mobile Equipment Monitor,
Well Performance Monitor, Compliance Manager and Wind Monitor. These solutions remain
critical in our ability to drive operational performance for you.
They are scalable, easy to install and require only configuration
to start delivering value immediately.
Our Support
Matrikon will continue to deliver the same quality levels of service
that you have come to expect from our support organization and as such,
you should not expect any significant changes in the way your current
support is delivered. For the foreseeable future, it is "business as usual."
- Matrikon’s support philosophy and delivery model will continue to drive service excellence
- The support contact process remains unchanged and Matrikon’s Support Portal will continue to be actively used for online support
- Matrikon’s support organization will continue to globally deliver best-in-class service
Our Future
As we move forward, Matrikon’s roots, identity and overall culture
will remain and will be greatly enhanced with Honeywell’s Advanced
Solutions business. Our commitment to delivering value to our clients
remains intact and is the core of what Matrikon will always be about.
