The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has published NIST SP800-82, a guidance for establishing secure industrial control systems (ICS) such as SCADA systems, DCS, and PLC.
Due to the interconnectivity of these critical systems, their security is more important than ever. NIST has identified the resemblance of these systems to traditional IT networks, and has published recommendations for standardized secure industrial control systems.
