If your organization is part of the Bulk Power System, you know that NERC CIP Version 4 (V4) will bring about changes that will affect almost every NERC entity. Many more assets, especially in generation, will be “in scope” with CIP V4 than in previous versions. But there is a lot more that you may not know.
Join this 90-minute webcast to hear a brief introduction to CIP V4, followed by a live question and answer period with Dave Norton, Policy Consultant for Critical Infrastructure Protection at Entergy. This discussion will include some of the following questions; audience submissions are welcomed in advance and during the session.
The Matrikon Industrial Security and Compliance team has been helping the electric sector prepare for and comply with NERC CIP for five years. We have a large number of CIP-experienced industrial cyber security consultants, and are one of twelve voting members of NERC’s Control Systems Security Working Group (CSSWG).
Special guest Dave Norton, Policy Consultant for Critical Infrastructure Protection at Entergy, has been one of the core team members and authors behind all of the NERC cyber security standards, including Urgent Action 1200, CIP Versions 1, 2 and 3, and now Version 4. Dave has led or participated in many industry and government groups, including working with DHS and NIST on cyber security issues related to control systems and the Smart Grid.
