This workshop is intended for Maximo power/super users, administrators and managers
who wish to gain a hands-on understanding of MXES Workflow. Users should have prior
exposure to or have worked with MXES.
The workshop is conducted in a computer lab where each participant is given dedicated
use of a workstation for the duration of the class. It is comprised of presentations,
case studies, demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
The course is divided into sequenced modules, each one building upon the last. This
organized structure allows for concepts, capabilities and processes to build up from
simplified components into an integrated model. These modules are:
Module 1: Workflow Orientation - This module introduces and explains
the architecture, design process and tools used with Workflow.
Module 2: Process Creation - This module enables participants to use
the tools and processes explained Module 1 to create, test and deploy workflows in
MXES based on a simple case study.
Module 3: Workflow Management and Advanced Topics - This module focuses
on to tracking records through workflow and managing and maintaining revisions to workflow
processes as your business and its processes evolve. Advanced Workflow-related topics such
as Communications Templates and Escalations are also discussed.
